Tomatoes

Self-initiated micro-identity branding exercise for tomato variants.

Project

Using a set of illustrations I made in 2015, create distinctive micro-brand identities for tomato variants.

Why a tomato?

First, having the illustrations helped. But more importantly, tomatoes are commonly seen as vegetables however, they are scientifically classified as fruits due to their seed-bearing nature, leading to an ongoing debate over their true identity.

Takeaway

Occasionally, engaging in a lighthearted activity serves as an enjoyable way to hone skills in a less familiar discipline. This particular challenge was intriguing, injecting a touch of humor into the brand creation process. It offered an opportunity for visual exploration across different design genres. While I may not delve deeper into this specific project, it did pave the way for future ventures into identity design and logo creation.
